WHAT IS BLACK ACRE THEATRE?

Black Acre Theatre is a group of young artists who desire to create an environment of artistic collaboration in the Katy area.

We are joined together by the common belief that theatre, and all forms of artistic expression, are natural impulses that remind us of who we are.

This venture is guided by the spirit of experimentation, risk, and intimacy. We believe in "theatre in your lap". We love the idea of actors and audience members breathing the same air and feeling the same energy - storytelling in its simplest form. That is why theatre is just as relevant today as it was thousands of years ago, and why we know it will last.

We are so grateful for the encouragement and support that we have already received. The fact that this dream has gotten off the ground at all is a testament to the kindness and passion of countless friends, both old and new. Thank you.
